Ozashiki in Miyagawa-cho,
members of Hanafusa Okiya (located in Dundee)

Kikuyuu-san playing shamisen
Kikuyuu-san (Hanafusa Okaasan & Geiko) played shamisen. She is very skilled. She played Kurokami, Kyo no Shiki and even Natsu wa Hotaru!!

Kikutsuru-san in golden hikizuri
Kikutsuru-san looked wonderful, as usual. I ate some delicious tofu.

I had to take a picture of Kikutsuru-san's hikizuri!!
And, what would be an ozashiki without a dance? I will post the video here as soon as I get it edited!
Domo arigatou gozaimasu for your patience. (should be here by tomorrow!)

Shinrin no Akumu Odori

Konnichiwa! Here are some pictures of yesterday's Shinrin Odori in Gion Higashi. There were three okiya presented. Shiraito no taki, Blue Lotus and of course Mitsuhana.

The first part of this odori was Shiraito no Taki Odori. Here I have some pictures of it, enjoy!:)

Then there was a small play by Mitsuhana. It told about a girl who fell in love with someone her father didn't accept. And the man died for broken heart, the girl didn't know. She met him at her door and they went to see her father. At the door as the father opened it, the man disappeared. They then opened his grave and found him with the girls scarf in his head. This small play was called "Cold as clay", written by Mamehana-san, absolutely fantastic!

Then there was the main act. It told about a soldier and an Oni. The Oni tried to harm him, but at the end he hit the oni with his sword. Sayohana-san is playing the Oni.

And the very last part was a great group dance!

Hosoi not closing after all!

Konnichiwa!

Please correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know, Hosoi is not going to close after all.
They will reopen.

I hear rumours about closing the whole Hosoi for ever, but now I have heard this is not true.

Also, Ponto-cho is reopened and the sim is decorated and looks beautiful!!
